Membrane Filter Presses
Dry Filter Cakes and Short Cycle Times
A membrane filter press extends conventional chamber filter technology by adding an additional membrane pressing stage. After primary filtration, the filter cake is further compressed by flexible membranes. This displaces free residual liquid from the filter chambers. Depending on the suspension and process conditions, this can achieve lower residual moisture levels and shorter filtration cycles.
AQUACHEM offers membrane filter presses for different requirements: from the compact, manually operated LCM 320 for laboratory trials, pilot projects and small batches to the fully automatic AF series for largely autonomous filtration processes. Plate format, filter volume, materials, process control and additional equipment options are tailored to the specific application.
