Sludge measurement device 'iFloc '

The AQUACHEM sludge measurement device iFloc is designed for continuous monitoring and optimisation of flocculant and filter aid dosing in modern filter press systems. Through precise process control, it ensures that the optimum amount of flocculant is always applied – adjusted to the actual solids load in the feed stream of the filter press.

 

The iFloc records key process parameters of the sludge at short, regular intervals, including:

 

• density
• sludge volume
• settling velocity of flocs

 

Based on this data, flocculation quality can be reliably assessed and the formation of a stable filter cake can be supported.

 

Through integration into the PLC control system, the iFloc can be fully incorporated into the overall plant. This enables flocculant dosing to be automated and dynamically adjusted to current process conditions. This not only increases the operational reliability of the filtration system, but also allows significant savings in flocculant consumption – in many applications by up to 50%.
