Optimised sludge conditioning upstream of the filter press
AQUACHEM offers various systems for pretreatment and buffering of the feed stream. Depending on the application, either a thickener or an inclined clarifier is used to specifically condition the sludge and increase the solids concentration.
This pretreatment significantly reduces the hydraulic load on the downstream filter press. At the same time, the system can be operated with an optimised water-to-solids ratio.
In addition, a feed tank enables both spatial and process decoupling of wastewater treatment from the actual filter press system. This ensures a steady and controlled feed, increases the operational reliability of the entire filtration system, and reliably smooths out process load peaks.
