The fully automatic membrane filter press AF series from AQUACHEM is the intelligent filter press solution for all operations seeking maximum efficiency, safety and automation in solid-liquid separation. Thanks to advanced membrane technology, sophisticated control systems and a low-maintenance design, the AF filter presses operate largely autonomously – making them ideal for applications in industrial sludge dewatering, food production and hazardous waste processing.

 

Compared to conventional chamber filter presses, the AF Series significantly reduces space requirements and filtration area while achieving lower residual moisture and shorter cycle times.

Efficient process control for maximum efficiency

 

The AF filter presses from AQUACHEM are always supplied with a highly efficient and flexible control system, individually tailored to the specific targets of each process. Broadly speaking, three operating modes are available:

  • throughput-optimised (l/m²/h) – for maximum productivity
  • residual moisture-optimised (wt) – for lowest disposal costs
  • energy and wear-optimised (€/m³) – for sustainable operation

This gives the AF filter presses maximum flexibility to meet a wide variety of process requirements.

 

Compact, efficient and resource-saving

 

The combination of membrane press technology and efficient/process-adapted control can reduce the required filtration area by up to 90% compared to conventional chamber filter presses. The result: a compact design, minimal space requirements, reduced operating costs and excellent dry solids content.

The fully automatic membrane filter press of the AF Series is available in five plate sizes: 470, 630, 800, 1,000 and 1,200mm. The maximum chamber volume ranges from 16 litres per filter up to 730 litres per filter. The maximum cake thickness is 32mm (special solutions are available).

 

Equipment and options:

  • process-adapted inlet and outlet manifolds made from PVC, PP, PVDF or stainless steel
  • filter frames in painted steel, stainless steel (e.g. for the food and pharmaceutical industries), up to titanium for aggressive or chemically demanding media and environments
  • containerised systems with steel framework for mobile or space-critical applications
  • special solutions for hazardous waste
  • compatible with virtually all feed pumps
  • fast and easy cloth replacement thanks to the proven Easy-Fit system
  • process-adapted cake washing and cloth regeneration stations

All essential spare and wear parts such as filter cloths, filter plates, instrumentation and control components, as well as hydraulic components, are centrally available from AQUACHEM. 

 

Thanks to the remote service options we provide, the vast majority of challenges can also be resolved quickly and easily together with on-site operating personnel.
