The fully automatic membrane filter presses of the AF series handle the entire filtration process, from filling and membrane pressing through to automatic cake discharge. Their largely autonomous operation is ideal for companies seeking to combine low staffing requirements with high process reliability in solid-liquid separation.

Membrane technology, adaptable process control and a low-maintenance design enable their use in applications including industrial sludge dewatering, food production and the treatment of hazardous waste. Compared with conventional chamber filter presses, the AF series offers shorter cycle times, lower residual moisture and a compact design.

Flexible process control for maximum efficiency

The AF filter presses from AQUACHEM are always supplied with a highly efficient and flexible control system, individually tailored to the specific targets of each process. Broadly speaking, three operating modes are available:

throughput-optimised (l/m²/h) – for maximum productivity
residual moisture-optimised (wt) – for lowest disposal costs
energy and wear-optimised (€/m³) – for sustainable operation

This gives the AF filter presses maximum flexibility to meet a wide variety of process requirements.

Compact, efficient and resource-saving

The combination of membrane press technology and efficient/process-adapted control can reduce the required filtration area by up to 90% compared to conventional chamber filter presses. The fully automatic membrane filter press of the AF Series is available in five plate sizes: 470, 630, 800, 1,000 and 1,200mm. The maximum chamber volume ranges from 16 litres per filter up to 730 litres per filter. The maximum cake thickness is 32mm (special solutions are available).
